How did they render new Blender open movie "Spring"?
I mean, do they render individual frames and then they join it together (if so, which software do they use to join frames into a movie?) or the export the movie directly into a video file in Blender?

You can import a sequence of individual frames into Blenders Video sequence editor to join them into a movie. Don't render directly to video. Ever.
They used their own farm sys, called "Flamingo".
