My name is J.Y.Amihud ( aka Blender Dumbass ) who had made two short films: I'm Not Even Human and The Package, The Car & The Time Is Running Out , both featuring very large use of Blender.

For the last almost 3 years I have been slowly working on my next movie, that will be called "Moria's Race". It's a story about a girl named Moria that wants to win a car Race. Obviously. In 2020 I made a huge library of rigs. All of the characters were done, all of the cars were done. All of the locations were done. Here are some static renders.

On my personal blog on LBRY I was preparing people to the fact that in September I will start finishing the movie, by starting the animation of it. Which I planned to do on livestreams. And everything looks like the livestreams are happening.

Where will I stream?

I could have used Twitch or YouTube to do the livestreams. But quite frankly I do not like these platforms. So I chose Odysee.com for it. Odysee is a web frontend to a new publication platform called LBRY ( lbry.com ). The goal of LBRY is to make a censorship resistant, decentralised publication platform using crypto as a base. Basically think about Torrent merged with Bitcoin.

Odysee extends beyond LBRY by adding some features that are not the part of the protocols. Such as Livestreams. But since Odysee is also Libre Software, here is it's source code I don't mind using this feature from Odysee. So I will stream to Odysee.

Luckily there are projects such as Librarian and my own FastLBRY that allows you to watch these live-streams without going to Odysee. Also I will provide commands in the description to watch the livestreams via VLC or MPV. So people would be able to choose what player they truly want to use.

When?

The plan is to start livestreams on 12th of September. So in 12 days from now. I'm planning to do them daily till the end of the project. I will post the link to the first one in here.

Meanwhile

There is a Moria's Race room on Blender.Chat but it's inactive. A much more active group is on the [matrix] protocol. The room id is #MoriasRace:matrix.org .

The livestreams will start on the Blender Dumbass LBRY channel , so meanwhile you can follow it as well I guess.

Thanks for reading and Happy Hacking!
