Hiring a coder for a custom Add-On: Where to look?
UPDATE:
I'm currently in talks with a coder.
(Also, even SirWade agrees with this suggestion:

)
Hi, the subject heading says it all, really.
I have a couple of small improvements to Blender that I'd like to chat to a coder about, to see how much it would cost to hire them to make a custom Add-On. If it works, then everyone get this Add-On, right? (I'd give it back to the community for everyone to use).
I'm guessing there's already a forum/website for this kind of thing?...
If it's only a week's worth of work that should be very manageable.
The idea is this one (below), but it doesn't seem to be very popular, so I think I might have to just make it myself (i.e. hire someone to code it for me).
I'd say that the more popular Blender gets the more this will become a regular thing, especially with big companies.
Thanks!

I almost hired someone! They contacted me, but backed out after I asked them how much their rate is. ...Odd. I'd still like to hear from people about where I should go to look for a Blender Add-On coder. Any suggestions?
UPDATE: I'm currently in talks with a different coder. Let's see what happens. It would be great to develop an add-on that the Blender community can enjoy. I know that SirWade at least will enjoy it: youtube.com/watch
As for finding addon developers I guess posting a job ad to relevant forums would be the way to go. (Obviously second to direct contacting addon devs)
As for your addon idea, I might want to give it a try. You can contact me: muhuk@muhuk.com
Try Pie Edit Menu youtube.com/watch
The pie-menu, while great, is actually slower than what I'm proposing, and dare I say, a little more complicated. When you do a deep dive into my suggestion it's literally changing one command (over three tools) from the current workflow. That's it. But by doing so it allows for an integrated gizmo workflow along with the same modal operation workflow. It's kinda neat!
So... thanks, Mike, but a pie menu is not really what I'm after. (I'm actually after a coder).
