Petition to add the Merge modifier to Blender

increse lenght of merge and see what will hapend
ah t'es vraiment unique et c'est cool.
I thought about same feature for every time when did scanned model and clean it. Every time enter to edit mode it's a risk to crash blender due complex mesh...
This isnt the first report of this feature lack. I think It`ll be better to add merge option to other modifiers...
