A less hostile welcome message perhaps. recommending downloading and trying Blender would be the smarter option IMO.

Sarcasm...it is sarcasm...nothing wrong with a little wit now and then...our Blender community is one of the most welcoming, supportive & creative around. Enjoy the free software and the great folks who help one another everyday
No doubt the Blender community is all of the above, which is why I was a bit surprised.

Blender is open. I came from other software and i just change to blender fully when i saw what was possible with it. So this message makes no sense
