Blender 2.81 Edit mode Looks good already (Although the old design was also nice).
I have noticed that blender 2.81's default edit mode design is very simple and clean. The old one was great and I was used to it. That is why it was not hard for me to notice this small change and in my opinion this new design is different but looks very good also.

For me this look almost the same except the backdrop color that is a bit darker.
* @Christian Clavet * Technically you are right. It is almost the same but if you look closer there is a distinct difference between how the edges and plane shading looks between the two examples. They are subtle but works great for 2.81.
The background doesn't affect how you can see those elements I believe.

whats the difference? is it anti-aliased? havent tried 2.81 yet but this looks much the same to my viewport in 2.80.
