Congratulations for Blender Today #100! Can't wait for #1000!!! Can't wait for the future.
My question is: do you plan to have some character rigging tutorials on Blender Cloud from start to finish + advanced & additional things like BlenRig and Rigify? Rigging is still a mystery to me.
Keep on the great content on Youtube! You are the best!
* @momotron2000 * I think in the Settlers Project (As they did RIG PREP) they will do a RIGGING Walkthrough too.... Except for that Blender Cloud has Humane Rigging - Intro to rigging and Advanced Rigging and also Character Animation (SPRING) (I Think this Includes the Rigging part too, I can be wrong tho, Hope this Helps....)
* @quarkINatom * great thanks I will have a look. Do all of these still apply in 2.83 when I follow along?
* @momotron2000 * Well The Fundamentals of Rigging hasn't Changed from 2.76 or so I Think.... HEHE (There were some Slight performance improvements tho) (2.75 GOT 2 new Rigging Tools)
Except for Some Short-Cut Keys Everything showed in those 3 Series still applies....
* @quarkINatom * cool thank you!
* @momotron2000 * yes ! I find that rigging in blender in advanced way is difficult for most ... there is some paid tutrials that explains it well but it would be better if it was on blender channel or cloud
* @dreamhighanimation * I agree. Blender Cloud can make much more tutorials
* @momotron2000 * for free... ?
Hello Pablo and all BLender Community. Congrats on 100 show. Thank you for Everything you are doing and you have done already. You are my life changers. I have two questions.
BTW If this Pandemic is over, I will be able to start working with BLender in one of the biggest game companies( I must not say which,casue of Confidentiality) . I finished the test and I got approved. But with the situation now we are in, I can't be recruited. So, If I start Make my Living with Blender, I will update my donations to Titanium at least. I will owe you my Life people, especially Ton . CRossfingers, for that to happen. I wish you the best. Keep Safe .I love ya all.
* @aflecek * congratulations, I hope you will have a lot of fun and gather expierience in your new game studio!
* @pipeliner * Thanx Bro.
dear pablo and dalai! thank you very much for the the code dives, it's really interesting for me!
I am currently learning blender and try to advice some studios to switch to Blender for different workflows. one obstacle are missing color management features. There is already an entry on Blender Wiki with the right notes: wiki.blender.org/wiki/Source/Render/ColorManagement
color Management is a huge thing because this will involve everything from look dev to compositing and even the vse and could be a huge task for a team for a new version. Is there any roadmap or timeline for this?
* @pipeliner * Have you ever tried ACES with it's OCIO implementation? It seems working in Blender (except color picker, but it could be easy to solve...)
acescentral.com/t/aces-set-up-for-blender-using-ocio/
* @SciVfx (xilofoton) * thank you, I didn't try this. Is it for rendering and compositing as well?
* @pipeliner *
Yes, ACES is for the whole pipeline from upfront to even the archival of the final picture (to be future proof because of the wide gamut and dynamic range). You can read my concise primer featured in 3D Artist mag here: acescentral.com/t/3d-artist-magazine-talks-aces-for-visual-artists/
Is it possible to have code auto-completion for python scripting in Blender's built in IDE? Any reason why it's not there? Is scripting too niche to give it more time? Thanks for reading.
* @zanydreamer * It's among all of these essential Text Editor add-ons: blenderartists.org/t/essential-blender-text-editor-add-ons/1163857
How to add hotkey for rotating HDRi for Eevee plz
* @3rton93 * gumroad.com/l/XQYEl
* @Pawel Piotrowski * that was fast, this should be in blender though.
Hey Pablo & the Community, this is my celebration day gift:
Analog Precision Mode - use the Y dimension of the mouse for the order of magnitude -
( ANAlog fields/sliders )
(Thanks Pablo for mentioning last Friday the tablet/pen version of this!)
Now it's just a proposal, but hopefully we can get it soon in Blender. I think it shouldn't be too hard to implement. It really makes the interaction with values much more fluent/organic (do you remember/tried Fabric Engine?).
Please upvote that if you like!
Blender Forever!
Congratulations with episode #100!
Hope to see you with a glass of wine today!
UPD: I'd be glad to see more episodes in future when you're showing the studio, developers team, wandering around, poking people and have a quick chat with them.
Congrats on 100 and thanks for all the fantastic work you guys are doing! I tried to find some information on when/if mesh data library overrides might be available. Do you have any information about this or whats planed for it?
* @kromar * did you have a look at the tasks here? developer.blender.org/T53500
* @pipeliner * yes i did but did not see anything about mesh data overrides in there
Hello Pablo and congrats on reaching Blender Today #100!
** Circular Array
Hi Pablo and Dalai! I would point out an annoying problem using array modifier.
To create a circular array an empty is needed, then we have to change the pivot point of the object moving it in the same position of the empty.
All this process, beside to be tedious, modify the pivot of the original object.
Can this process be optimized?
Congratulations on your 100 livestream just in the firat day of ramadan
Wanna ask about an episode with andrew price for blender everyday??
Hi Pablo! How are you doin?
I want to ask about FBX format. I know it is not an open format, and is not easy to keep it updated, but there is a problem that bothers me a lot and is not specifically related to that format, I think it's a problem of several formats: Axis orientation. I work with Blender and Unity for making games, and every time I import the FBX file exported from Blender It gets a -90 degress rotation in X axis. There's an option in the export settings to Apply Transforms but is experimental and I doesn't work well in rigged characters. Why was it never fixed? Blender is getting awesome! But there are still those little glitches.
* @Facundo Della Rosa * on the blender market theres a add-on called B2U which I think is exactly what your looking for. and it's cheap... 12 USD $
Any news on ANIMATION 2020 ???
It suppose to be a rebuild of the Old Animation and rigging system to A new one . is it still in the work or planned ??
I am from Syria and I advise most people around me to use your application and I was hoping to support you, but in my country we cannot pay online
I would like to do a video for the Blender community showcasing the art being made with Blender following #b3d and #madewithblender. How should I show it to you guys?
Can someone please let me know about the future of MOGRAPH in Blender?
* @p.shethia01 * I know about Animation Nodes but something like Cinema 4D or Houdini or better?
Thanks and congrats for the blender 2.90 update. Is there any precision tool coming soon? Like easier dimension assignment in edit mode?
Why not add an explanatory video of the main tools to appear when the cursor hovers over them like in Maya
Hi Pablo and Francesco! Congrats on the 100th Blender Today, I watch this religiously every week/day but rarely catch you live. Also, I'm LOVING the new code-dive series and the scripting for artists!
Taking advantage of being able to see you live, I have a couple of questions about the new sculpting workflow. Forgive me for asking more than one although they are related
Is there any update or inside info on the development of the multi-resolution modifier?
And will dynotopo become slowly phased out? I really hope not but if so, what plans are in place to replace a sculpting method which can keep vertex count low in low-detail areas and increase vertex count in high detail areas.
-This is a great way of keeping vertex count low for high poly sculpts.
Why not put a small hint video for basic tools to appear when hovering over the tool like in Maya and AutoCAD?
And thank you for all 99 Blender Today, 13 Blender Everyday, recaps, and everything that you do for community and blender.
Hola Pablo. How does it works with all alpha and beta versions? Now 2.83 is in bug fixing stage "only" and 2.90 is in alfa and geting all new cool features, but does the 2.90 getting all the fixes in this same time as 2.83.
Congratulations, You Just Scored a Century, BlenderToday!!!!
I am totally Not Trying To Bother You People Today, But Something Has been Bothering me, Maybe you can help - There are RIGGING PREP Walkthrough in Settlers Project, When is RIGGING Walkthrough Coming Out?
