Flexi Bezier Tool (Free Add-on)
Hello everyone!
I recently wrote this Flexi Bezier Tool. With it you can quickly create Bezier curves within Blender 2.8.
There are a number of snapping and locking options that make the tool fun and useful.

Make a patch for blender. This is great, and should be part of blender by default.
What a great improvement! Thank you so much for creating such a useful add-on. This seems like something that could easily become a standard tool.
This is how curves should work in blender by default. A must have add-on if you work with curves.
Great little add-on. Makes generation of beziers much more intuitive. Good Work
Vey nice work man. Would it be possible to close the curve by just connecting the two end points? What do you think about an auto close feature?
* @johnpdelacruz26 * Thanks for the suggestion. I have included the autoclose feature (version 0.5). You will need to hold down shift while pressing space or enter to autoclose. Do try and let me know.
good tool to patch it with blender
Great work!
Nice one.
Very usefull tool! Please specify the plugin version in the code.
Great initiative! Watered for a long time something more intuitive and practical for Blender's curve tools. Your addon comes in good time to minimize this shortcoming.
I'm a Corel Draw user and I see that the use of modeling curves in Blender needs to be improved. It is a seemingly simple feature used in 2D, but I am sure it has great potential for rapid modeling of any kind of shapes when applied to 3D.
Some time ago I set out to idealize modeling features from curves that would be useful for creating clothes and other accessories combined with Blender's sculpture mode. This proposal resulted in the following:

I'm not a programmer, so this idea is totally free for you to use if you find something that interests you. For example, I proposed something really intuitive, direct and practical, and above all extremely visual. For example, one of the things that annoys me the most when editing curves in Blender is the visualization of those direction arrows of the splines (fishbone), if you can collapse an option that conceals these "damn" direction arrows from the splines would be even more useful.
Thank you for your work, it's wonderful!
* @Corelista * Thank you for your suggestions. I too think that curves are rather underutlized for modelling. Maybe there are some solid reasons for that. I will go through your videos and see if I am able to implement any of the ideas. Meanwhile I am working on the edit curve tool, which I think you will find useful.
* @khemadeva * Thanks for responding to the comment. And, as I said in the previous post, use what I can of the ideas contained in my proposal without the need for any kind of credit. What matters is that we have excellent addons for Blender 2.8, its addons fit this profile. Any questions about the features of the proposal you can consult me. Once again my thanks.
Great work!
each time i open belender i have to disable and re-enable the addon otherwise i get a crash. is this a know bug? also is there a way to to snap perpendicular?
* @manuel.mark.hofmann * Please try with the latest version of the add-on and if you still face the problem, let me know the error on the console. Could you elaborate what snap perpendicular means?
* @khemadeva * ive got 0.9.90 installed, its the latest right? here is the log: {attachment 2020-02-22_01_04_12-Windowpng}
* @khemadeva * and this is what i mean with perpendicular. snap an axis of a point... {attachment 2020-02-22_01_22_42-Windowpng}
* @manuel.mark.hofmann * Thank you for the information. The problem may have been caused due to version conflict. I suggest you do the following:
Please let me know if you still face issues. Also, do you have the add-on installed in any earlier Blender version (2.81 or 2.80) that you use simultaneously?
* @manuel.mark.hofmann * This kind of perpendicular snapping option does not exist as of now. The problem with implementing this is: the tool is used to draw not just straight lines but also curves that can potentially have many segments. Maybe in cases like the one shown in the image, you can define your own scale with the Custom Axis and use it for precision modeling ( youtu.be/VQCXZbOq47s ).
* @khemadeva * ok, i think i know what cause the crash. first your suggestion worked but as soon as i remap snap to vert to ctrl (since i use alt for rotate view navigation) i get the crashes.
btw. is it possible to assign any shortcut to the bezier utils options in future update? i rotate view with alt so i have to bind snap to vert on ctrl but i loose snap to grid or use F6 which is the only option besides ctrl alt shift
* @manuel.mark.hofmann * You can use any key and not just F6 for snapping to grid, provided it is not already assigned. Just click on the button that displays F6 in keymap preferences and press the new key you want to use for grid snapping.
* @khemadeva * this is not possible here. it just stays at F6.
* @manuel.mark.hofmann * Are you changing the shortcut as shown here: youtu.be/5E0nVspDsZQ .. Also, do you see any error on console?
* @khemadeva * no error in console. theres something broken for sure - when i want to bind "A" it shows "D" ...bind "S" it shows "D" ...also "Y" "X" not possible shows "C". perfect would be ctrl + shift btw but also not possible.
* @manuel.mark.hofmann * You won't be able to assign a hot key if it's already assigned to another function. 'A' is already assigned to 'Select', 'S' to set handle type. 'X', 'Y', 'Z' are reserved for locking to axis. Please check the key map ( youtu.be/iMjralIQ6cQ ) to see the already assigne keys.
