Blender Developers Meeting Notes - August 27, 2017

> Hi all,

> Here are the notes from today's 14 UTC meeting in irc.freenode.net #blendercoders. Attendance was a bit low today, so it was done quick :)

> 1) Blender 2.79 release

> - We let the mailing list discuss if there's need for a third RC. > - Release notes in progress: wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Ref/Release_Notes/2.79

> 2) GSoC wrap

> - In two days is the hard deadline for students, August 29th 1600 UTC. > - Final reports will be linked here: wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Ref/GoogleSummerOfCode/2017

> That's it! > Tomorrow will be the usual 2.8 meeting, with probably more news. > Maybe it's time to do the 2.8 meeting on Sundays again? Now 2.79 and GSoC are almost done...
