Please add support for duo monitor setup( save window position)

I use blender on my secondary monitor (tablet display), but every time I open things like preferences, or save as, or import window, they always open on the other monitor(main display), it’s really frustrating that I have to constantly swap pen to mouse and drag the window across two monitors. There is no way to save window positions. Save default doesn’t work.

I looked around for answers, but couldn’t find any. There was a post dated 7 years ago on blender community forum about the same issue, but no one has the answer.

Please blender, add the duo display support and end the pain once and for all. :)

Thank you

Ps: Issue on Windows 10

Hi! 😊

You should ask for this on the "Right-Click-Select" section for this feature. The windows could retain the "last" position it was opened. (need a new data to the window class, and a way to keep the last position in the config or separate config file.

But It would also need a "reset" windows position feature, in case you unplug the screen...

* @Christian Clavet * "reset" windows position isn't necessary, only need to remember the last position. If screen unplugged, pop back to the main screen, when screen plugged again, simply drag them back.
