Texture painting from multiple PBR maps to multiple paint slots at once

I apologize in advance if this is a wrong section for such question. I just joined here.

Is there a way to texture paint by loading in multiple existing PBR maps (e.g. albedo, roughness, normal) and then affecting multiple texture paint slots at once? It would be extremely useful.

If this is not possible at the moment, I'm imagining a workflow like this:

  • go into the 'Texture Paint' mode
  • create multiple texture paint slots (e.g. Base Color aka Albedo, Roughness, etc.)
  • go to the 'Texture Properties' panel and load in multiple PBR maps
  • associate (link) each texture paint slot with a PBR map
  • paint over the object (especially useful in the Stencil texture mapping mode)
  • all texture paint slots are updated from their corresponding PBR maps

It seems that the fundamentals for such functionality are already there and it would bring Blender a step closer to Substance Designer.

Umm.... You kind of can Do that.... Instead of painting on all of them at Once.... You can make one texture paint image and MIX with NODES....

(I'm just a Noob, So I apologize if I didn't Understand your Proposition)
