Keep features and don't remove them.

I read in some of the comments, some artists wanted to remove some features because they are less used than others.

I consider Blender the complete package for anything to do with CG or video production, audio mixing...etc.

However, it still needs various tools and customizations for users to do tasks easily and efficiently.

That's why I suggest that Blender not to remove any feature but enhance it, Blender is available to any artist to do their work without the need to keep paying subscriptions to other software and we love it to be always this way.

It is about priorities in adding features but not to remove them. I strongly suggest not to remove any feature but to enhance it and have priorities in adding these features to keep Blender always powerful and inclusive.

Thanks!!

This is a bit too general - I agree most of the time but sometimes, a feature would hold back development (like the old blender internal) and make it hard to develop new things. Or a feature would be replaced by a newer one, and keeping both would be confusing to users. Most of the time the devs and the community will make the right choices.

I don't think they want to remove the video editor, it was just a general idea I am posting to highlight the importance of consolidating the software and make it more powerful and inclusive by assuring to keep its features and improve them instead of removing some of Blender's features (unless they are replaced with better easier ones).

Old features are always available, you can download older Blender versions and use those removed features as you please. But the problem comes when you say: I want to use older features ALONG with new features that are, sometimes, not compatible with those older features.

I still use 2.79 sometimes when I need to import certain format that are not supported anymore.

I don't think that they plan to remove the video editor, do they??

Thanks for your comment Bassam!!

I know this is a general concept (what I mentioned) about developing the software.

Certainly, when there are newer features that could replace the old ones and they are better, we replace for sure.

What I meant is, Blender always should keep the inclusive features that do almost everything in the CG and production world. The more features Blender has, the more efficient and inclusive Blender is. Therefore, for example, I don't recommend that Blender removes the video editor, Blender should improve it not remove it, and so on.

Thanks again!!
