Any way to export a distortion map

Hi! I was just wondering whether anyone knows of a way to render out a distortion map?

So, if I create a "glass" shape in Blender, but render it out over an alpha background, is there any way to also render out a distortion pass so I could add in an image in After Effects or something later and have it distort behind the glass-on-alpha render?

Hope this is at least slightly clear what I'm waffling on about... :)

Cheers! -frank

I would try render the glass object a second time with a Reflection coordinate linked straight to output node. What effect or addon are you using in AE ?

Thanks bestelix! Tbh, I just faked it in the end (using mattes and hand animating a displacement map) but I'll definitely have a play with the reflection co-ordinate output.

I'm guessing I might need to include some kind of transparency too, to try and get a glass-through-glass effect where there are multiple layers of glass going on?

Cheers for pointing me in the right direction though, very much appreciated! :)
