Hi. How do you guys prepare the scene from modeling to rigging & then to Animation? Would there be some rigging walkthroughs?

Hello everyone. When rigging a character with props, do you make a separate armatures for each so they can have different actions or just one rig with everything in it?

Why don't you guys do another VFX short & push Blender to handle more complex vfx stuff like digi doubles, motion capture etc?

Hi! This is awesome! Would we be able to change the expressions of the characters, make them talk (face rig?)

Have you found a solution for the 2D mouth \ tongue on the character? I saw that there were some experimentation on this... A grease pencil object would work great but it would need to be projected (or wrapped) on the model...

I wanted to say a huge thank you to the whole Blender team. You're making the best out of the current situation and just keep giving more awesome stuff to the community. I am currently working on a graduation film with my buddies, which is entirely made in Blender. It will also be a highly stylized cartoon like the settlers. It's cool to see the progress of our movie and settler happening in parallel. So no direct question to the team, just a huge thank you for making this time a little bit more endurable!

Hi everyone! Two cheeky questions:

  1. What is the correct way of handling sliders and switches like IK switching?

(Last time I rigged a character I made a custom propery in the rigs object data properties that drove the constraint influences, but I've heard that is not optimal because it is not a bone and therefore not really part of the rig or something.)

  1. What rigging feature is blender currently missing the most?

Hi Pable, I have 2 questions:

  1. When will Shadow pass introduce shadows of objects in Compositing?
  2. Will Blender 3MF file format? (Because it's Free-Opensource with some advantages)

Hi, on the character mouth, how are you maintaining the volume of the bevelled curve after shrink wrapping?

* @Pablo Vazquez * ahhhh, I just forgot about the apply on spline option in the shrinkwrap modifier. That's why my quick test was flattening my sausage so to speak :)

Cheers.

Hi Pablo, and precious guests!

I have come up with the comment while watching the episode.

For better rig and modeling such character like any Settler, blender needs some modifier that turns curve/closed curve into one-sided/two-sided geometry. Maybe, something like extrude modifier for curves...

For the rigger, Demeter will you share that module for rigging the curves of the face? looks sweet! Pablo fournier; could you show that workflow for making extra limbs and smears that you mentioned in one of those cloud videos youre releasing? i didnt quite understand how it works but sounds really interesting

Hi, big thanks for the all the hard work shared by the blender foundation and studio. One suggestion regarding the Blender Cloud pricings: Study the chance to make the signature plans on local currency from foreign users (as steam does, as example). The economy is going even more crazy due the virus crisis, so the US dolar ratings are scaliating around the world. Again, thanks again for the hard work. Best and keep safe.

What is the future of motion graphics in Blender.. something like MOGRAPH or MASH or better? It will take a lot of time to study a software...so was asking about the future. Thank You :-)
