No question just need to recommend everyone to start playing this at the end of the livesteam youtube.com/watch
Also happy late birthday Pablo!
* @Lapis Sea * The final countdown, interesting idea
* @Lapis Sea * We are not even worth to be rickrolled :(
Hi Pablo, I got one question about how you created the concepts on ui.pablovazquez.art/ . Did you create them with plane html, css, java or is it some kind of tool?
* @Simon Sommer * From what I've seen, it looks like a typical HTML+CSS+JavaScript Website. (Layout via HTML, style via CSS, Interactivity via JavaScript)
* @Blender Defender * yeah but i ment a tool that would generate the code
* @Simon Sommer * No, it is self-coded. I found the link to the GitHub repository: github.com/venomgfx/blender-ui . Dalai and Pablo made this repository to make mock-ups of the future Blender-UI. The website seems to be a compiled online version of it.
Greetings,
Blender Defender
* @Blender Defender * oh cool thanks very much :)
Hola Pablo, hey Pablo,
I love your weekly shows <3. My question:
How is the sprite-fright credit thing planned? I mean, will there really be my (artist) name in the credits, or will there be a "Special Thanks to all Blender Cloud subscribers" like in the previous open movies? It would be nice, if you could answer this question, that would help me decide whether I should subscribe to Blender-Cloud or not.
Greetings, Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year of blending,
Greetings,
Blender Defender
* @Blender Defender * Its your name from blender cloud in the credits.
* @SilaS * Good, thank you, I just wanted to make sure, because there weren't such credits in the other open movies
* @Blender Defender * In sintel there are dvd presale credits with names from everyone. I guess the others where just too much names.
Hi Pablo! Not sure if this should be a bug or a feature request, but when you press [Tab] in any properties with multiple values the cursor should highlight between the multiple values. This is currently not the case for Vertex Weights which has been kind of annoying. Instead pressing [Tab] just toggles between Edit Mode and Object Mode.
Hello Pablo,
Great year for blender and it seems to be only the start. Are there any news on the hair object project and the new grooming system? or when the work starts?
One more: Is it possible to number the hair particles in render so i now which one i need to specific tune? I forgot to turn on use modifiers and have a multires so it looks a little bit different in render.. (one strain is intersecting..)
Heisann Pablo, hope you're doing well. I need your help to decide whether this should be a bug report or a feature request:
When moving an object with increment snapping on it won't snap to round numbers in the transform channels, but snap to seemingly arbitrary numbers instead (maybe it's screen space snapping?). Once translation is constrained to one or two axis it does snap to round numbers. And that's wack, yo. Here's a gif.

Peace out and happy holidays to you and the entire team.
Christmas Wish: Can we have the Particle Info node work in Eevee please? ♥
Hi Pablo, When will the "Multi-Res Modifier" receive hotkeys (Ctrl+D / Shift+D) to increase and decrease subdivision levels on the fly while in "Sculpt Mode"? - I really think Blender needs this to improve its sculpt prospects for working fluidly on the fly. - Note: No hotkey commands can be assigned, hence why I ask. Thank you!
* @mattfagan * If you're referring to just going up and down through existing subdivision levels, you can actually add hotkeys. I have done so, in fact, for my workflow.
Just add a new hotkey in the sculpting sub-category of 3d view, enter "object.subdivision_set" as the identifier, tick "Relative" and set level to 1 for going to a higher level, and -1 for going to a lower one.
I believe you already know that Ctrl+1 through 5, in sculpt mode, have the same effect as in object mode, with the difference that they automatically add a multiresolution modifier (as opposed to a subdivision one), if the mesh doesn't have one already. If you want to go higher, you can always assign a hotkey to the subdivide command (which I assume you already have).
hi Pablo, you're great. I have two questions for you:
Are there any updates regarding the sculpt performance improvements pablo dobarro is working on and they will be integrated in the main release?
do you know if somebody is working on the brush workflow improvements and if there is any hope to see something done in the near future? developer.blender.org/T56744
Thank you very much for your attention and Merry Chirstmas and Happy new Year (we need it so much) to you and all the Blender Community.
Pablo, this is not going to be the end!
Hey Pablo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is my question:
Will a pc with a Threaripper with lots of ram and a GPU with lots of VRAM get bottlenecked by blender? Is it worth it to spend that amount of money to minimize the time lags while working and rendering?
* @tasosgr01ker * I have a 24 core Ryzen threadripper. There was an update to cycles last week in blender 2.92 which now enables CPU + GPU to work together for rendering so now all those lovely CPU threads are used in rendering along side my GPU's so it is blazing fast now! But not the viewport, that is still just GPU only. The liquid mantaflow simulations also do not make full use of all the cores yet but all that would take to fix is a smart developer and an update :D . I get about 20% utilization of the cores in liquid sims with only 4 cores maxing out at a time from my brief testing today in 2.92 .
In terms of best value for money I would suggest investing as much cash as you can into your GPU. The biggest value I currently get from the Ryzen is in video editing and compiling shaders for Unreal engine or compiling code with node or vs studio ... but I expect UE5 with GPU lightmass and billion poly workflow could change all that in a few months time.
* @Dirk Teucher * thanks!
I am really interested in getting a workstation pc mainly interested in a quadro gpu for my work and I was wondering if blender can actually use that puppy. Of course bundled with a thredripper and my 128 gb ram I already have.
* @Dirk Teucher * also what do gpu do you have ?
* @tasosgr01ker * I don't know about quadro but would think it would work just fine. I had a RTX 2070 super at the time but have since upgraded to a RTX 3090 which is incredible. Blender uses the CPU for a bunch of other things but I cannot think of anything Blender does that maxes out 24 cores at 100% except rendering and then its a small speed increase as I said of 10-15%. I do hope this will change in the future as there is plenty of CPU tasks that are just not efficiently using all available cores. Zbrush for example makes excellent use of all the cores and at 100 million polys i find it hard to get 50% cpu usage and the modelling is still completely smooth. It's magic.
Hi Pablo!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year (upcoming)!
Yesterday I have found out that Edit Particles mode is broken on NON-Hair simulations: ordinary particles, cloth, sofbodies. I checked all versions since 2.80. (I can't be sure it's only my local bug)
Please, don't leave behind this awesome and powerful feature!
Hi Pablo!
When the walk/fly navigation is used is it possible to set the height of your camera from the ground?
* @Anže * That is possible in the Blender preference -> Navigation and then under Fly & Walk
* @SilaS * Thanks :)
Hi Pablo, Hope you are fine and well.
Sorry but it's a Feature request : Can we please add keys to origin of the object?
How to remove seleletcion frame for modifiers in 2.92? I want to work in 2.91 style when ctrl+a applied the modifier aimed by the cursor and now it applies the selected by the selection frame.
Hi Pablo, I wanna first start by thanking you and all the developers.
I'm just curious when we are going to have the ability to use shader editor with the displacement modifier, and or displacement map support for Eevee.
again, thank you for all the developer for doing all the hard work.
Hi' Pablo, Happy belated birthday🎂😃. I want to ask that is there any chance of having a layer based texture painting with an "Eraser tool" in future blender updates ?

Hey Pablo, thank you for your great work! I was taking a look to Omniverse form Nvidia, and find out that it’s going to work with blender in the future. Any clue about how it’s gonna be? MDL materials in Blender? Midmap streaming for people lke me who cannot afford 1000€ video cards? Enjoy Christmass!

Hello Pablo! :D Would we get folders for asset browser? So for example you can keep characters models and building models in separate folders inside of the asset browser. You got the idea, so basically organizing your stuff on folders. Would it come in Blender 3.0 or even earlier ?
Is an armature asset ready to use after insertion, or do i have to use some knob first?
Hi Pablo, is the assets in the library can be linked?
I'm watching
What happened to the AMD side of things? Could you tell more about it?
Hello! Are we ever gonna see the return of grab handles on the corners of the viewport subdivisions/windows? 2.8+ has been too fussy for too long, and I remember there was a brief highlight on such a feature before 2.8 even entered beta!
Merry Christmas and holidays everyone!
blender 2.91.1 will come ?
Hey Pablo! Hope you had a great time on your birthday last week, and a happy new year's celebration!
Hey Pablo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is a shower thought I had in my mind for a while:
what if we could fund specific areas in Blender (with a maximum donation limit per area so the corps won't control the development). I think that way the professionals, the fanatic and hardcore users would donate even more/ start donating, increasing blender's income.
