2D Rotation on the Viewport
I found some code that someone wrote to do this operation but didn't work on 2.80. I fixed that and made it into a lightweight addon
The hotkey is Alt + Middle Mouse , but you can change it on Preferences > Keymap > 3D View > 3D View (Global) > Roll Viewport
I find that using the Trackball Orbit Method ( Preferences > Navigation > Orbit & Pan ) works better with this operator, specially when sculpting, since this 2D rotation can be performed on any given 3D rotation that the current view is set at

Thank you for this add-on. 👍
Isn't that what's shift+Num4 or shift+Num6 is for?
* @rabatin.dominik * it is.
* @3dcinetv * you can create the same shortcut that into 2.79, so no need for an addon. but what is interesting if you add this ctrl+add+scroll mouse it's that in this one you can set another angle (different from 15° with shift+numpad). with 15° if you want to get back to a perfect horizontal view you can't. with this setting this is very smooth and fast with the scroll... {attachment Blender_Preferencesjpg}
* @zgorg2004 * thanks. But I already knew that. I posted this 1 year ago on my videos. :) I think rabatin is the one who needs to know.
* @3dcinetv * well I just did it again so ;)
thanks
