Tool Extruder

Hello,

Is it possible to extend the ends of a hollow tubular structure without closing them, following the normal of each end? When I try after selecting all the edges of my ends (with the non-manifold selection tool), the extrusion is done in a single global plane, and not following the normal at each end. Here is a diagram of what I am trying to do.
