Pablo is having time off currently. He was meant to post an update a few days ago. I'll remind him!
Hey .. I come home as always after a Monday working day and look forward to the live stream. And nothing happens. I also often look at the twitter stories .... nothing happens. I am always looking forward to hearing something new. Also again for a long time by Ton Roosendaal .... Maybe I'm too spoiled. But the news and information are important to us all. I think. No matter how much news there is and how important they are. The main thing is to hear regularly from the developers. That's really important in my opinion. Anyway. I like the shows and would be happy if there was more;)... and no stress .. everyone lives his life every day. If it does not work or if it does not fit then it is just the way it is.
Would be nice to get either: Yes another awesome show tonight, Or, No Show tonight due to xyz. (On here, Youtube, Twitter etc.
Not knowing means less live viewers and lack of communication, which is never good. Hope your well Paplo.
Digging through "tweets and replies" he's in Madrid for a few weeks, and may or may not find time/connection. Still, a "weekly show" - I can't help feeling someone at Blender Studio could stand in and give us a 20min update, or even a live Q/A maybe a short bit of instruction on some part of Blender. TLDR - I miss a weekly stream.
* @transmitthis * With no stream you still can get the progress report from the team . Really not as fun and interesting having Pablo Showing us and more stuff...
* @Christian Clavet *
We just love Pablo :)
* @transmitthis * I would vote for Sebastian, he was awesome on streams featuring him and I'm sure he can do it(actually I would love to see him on streams more often in any case!).
Guys, are you serious? The communication and transparency of the blender team are really high and you can get your information in several ways. I really love Pablo's show but let's not carry away and be rude - Live streaming is not always possible and there is no need to be so frustrated about it. Just show the love on the next stream!
* @Serj Maiorov * I did not see anybody being rude but disappointed. It is not about about not being able to stream, we all know there are many reasons for that. What probably most of us expected was a single sentence on Twitter or any Pablo's media sources saying that this week is a no go. We all love Pablo and his weekly stream, some reserve time just to watch it so a short sentence of explanation would made many fans happy in my opinion.
* @arb65912 * It's just a matter of semantics. Pablo began this great show as something on his spare time, to communicate Blender to the community, sometimes even on sick days. The word "disappointing" just has a really negative vibe to it, as if to blame someone. We all love Pablo but he doesn't really have an obligation to tweet his every move, AND you can watch the stream even after you missed it - not as fun but not the end of the world.
* @Serj Maiorov * Agree on semantics and perfectly understand that there is no obligation but if Pablo is well, just simple sentence would do the trick. Of course we all have different perceptions on things so all good. :-)
* @Serj Maiorov * The show has grown on all regular visitors. Even when there are no special guests or a killer feature to be unveiled, Pablo still manages to draw 1500+ viewers on weekly basis. While we wait for the coffee cup to appear in space, the fans banter and have a rollicking time. It has an exclusive club feel to it, and we look forward to the next show. A fan base like that would definitely feel "disappointed" if their favorite weekly show disappears without any clue. This does not mean a sense of entitlement, but rather affection for Pablo and his show. The word reflects the sense of loss we all have. For sure there are other sources of information, but they are not as comprehensive or fun.
OK let's face it, We love Pablo and everything that he bring to the Blender community. If he is not around we are left thinking that something happen to him. His updates are very important to us Blender Heads. The picture of the dog in on the side bar is me.
disappointing is a hard word
* @pipeliner * what word would be better to describe it?
* @arb65912 * it makes me sad to not see any notification from Pablo on the youtube channel info
* @pipeliner * yes, sad too in a way.
Pablo Pabloo wherefore art thou Pablo
Time have passed. Seem there no show also today.😱 I'm kinda dissapointed a little. 😭
While Pablo is certainly not beholden to us the lack of communication for a window into Blender news is shut right now and nobody from Blender.org has a word to say. Come on guys.
Last Wednesday Pablo signed off saying the next show would be at the same time this week. I had hoped he didn't actually mean we'd wait until Wednesday this week.* @unity2k *
