Is it too heavy for grease pencil?

Hi! I've been testing GP making 3D characters( converting base mesh and using vertex paint to make some volume) and I've getting performance issue. The main ideia is animate a "2D" character without rigging it. This character has a bit more than 1M vertex. Does anyone knows how to improve it? Is it too heavy for GP? untitled.png problems

You might get better answers by being more specific.

  • What kind of performance issues? Viewport? Animation speed? Rendering speed?
  • 1M vertices where? Is this a GP object you share the render of? Is it a 3D model with GP lineart applied?
  • What do you mean by animate a "2D" a character without rigging it specifically?

Thanks Mukuk for helping me!

So,

. I'm getting very slow performance issue in animation and vertex paint, even if I try to disable all effects and choose the "solid" viewport render mode.

. No, Its all GP object(converted 3D base mesh into GP layers, without strokes...just using fill materials and added GP Effects as blur, hin light, pixelate...etc).

.I'm trying to animate this character, without rigging it, just using transform tolls and sculpt brush on GP mode, see? The idea is make it "simple" as the 2D animartion "is", Using 3D approach as a base!
