Hurray! Congrats to all of the folks involved! Well done. Have been enjoying compiling daily and watching the many changes, fixes and updates!
we.tl/t-Y9X4FeZwzK Link for today's release. I don't know why but I had pretty low speed downloading it. So, if you have the same problems - you can dowload it from wetransfer.
* @rpserge * Absolutely, and i think that the reason behind this is because of the servers are being overloaded.
It's fun. I am happy <3
I still think that the interface needs some more work though.
* @noswearrr1 * totally agree. but I've all ready change much of the 2.8 UI to my liking.
BLENDER 2.80 Release Candidate (Mac OS)
we.tl/t-8CHTZ9XCVe
what's a release candidate?
* @othoap * When a software company is confident enought to release the finished product, they send out a Release Candidate. You can call it an advanced Beta. Many people refrain from installing a Beta version because they know it to be full of bugs. A RC is different. It is not the finished product, but it is very close. The overall user experience is set in stone (or at least very hard clay). If there are changes in the next days, it will probably not be anywhere you can see. So a lot more people will install it.
Then the RC is out in the open for a few days, where that last bugs can be picked up and fixed.
AND THEN.
We might see an RC2 - - - - - - OR THE FINISHED PRODUCT. (which will still contain some small bugs, that will be fixed along the way).
* @loaferslodge * I'll wait for gold
* @othoap * And what if it is your installation that will lead them to the answer for a particular bug?
The more people who install RC, the better the product will be when they go live with the finished product.
* @loaferslodge * Oh, No, If in fact we will wait for 2.81. My company has very strict rules not to switch apps mid project. The downtime will be astronomical to change the pipeline. Not to mention maybe hardware as well, Oh no no thanks.
Merci pour ce magnifique travaille
Unfortunately, download speed is just miserable. imgur.com/a/gjkspf6
Can someone share the file via torrent or file sharing service?
Hurray!
