PAIN Most of us are looking for a job or build a portfolio but are lacking client jobs. Blenderverse fills the gap, and everyone can participate and showcase one´s Blender creation in a turntable. There are several different categories.
Well, all it sounds like crowdsourcing to me. It is. However, it is a networking, business networking, and social media booster packed under the same umbrella. You can build your portfolio while learning from others inside the same Blender file. Blenderverse is more like an online hackathon v2. Blenderverse cells are teams, and it is a perfect opportunity to get to know each other in a non-competitive manner. Possibly even cooperate to attract the commercial sponsors for a great income opportunity.
OMG. Why should I share my modeling technique with a person in the same challenge?
Maybe a new friend or business partner as a longshot, social media follower, Youtube subscriber to your channel, etc. Changes are many.

I'm still not sure what this is. It seems like a Blender oriented social network. Is there a demo available? When will it be online?

It is an idea of a Blender-oriented crowdsourcing community with a take on getting some added visibility in several design-specific industries if and when a person is in the early stage and has no name or client portfolio yet. He can then begin to compile his portfolio inside the Blenderverse and network effectively as a member because Blenderverse is all about getting to know instead of anonymity. Blenderverse would be much more than any elancing site can ever offer as a lame e-consultant service. Monetization? Deals are then between the client and you as a member. Some parts will go to maintain the server costs and the general maintenance tasks. Mostly, a low-cost service following the Open source principles. I am very much open to hear if someone is interested in joining the forces and take off the plane. Certainly to answer any related questions! But yeah, first there is an idea, then...
