Multiple item selection in the outliner???(Blender 2.8)

Hello. I am very new to Blender coming from other 3d apps over the last 25 years... I am not finding a way to select multiple items in the outliner list in 2.8. Shift click or CTRl-shift click does not seem to work. Is there a way, I missed how to do this? Thanks for your time.
