Question from a newbie

Dear Blender team,

I’m a new user who has recently started learning Blender, and I’ve been amazed by its capabilities — from creating short films to full video games. While exploring the platform, I noticed that most of the showcased projects come from the Blender Foundation itself.

This made me wonder:

Would it be possible to create a section on blender.org dedicated to showcasing projects made by the broader Blender community?

The idea is to have a curated space on the official website where users can share links to their finished projects on platforms like YouTube — whether they are short films, animations, game cinematics, or other creative works. This would not require extra server costs since the videos would be hosted externally, and creators could still earn revenue through YouTube.

The section could include:

Categories such as: short films, animated features, game projects, educational animations, etc.

Filters by genre: action, sci-fi, comedy, fantasy, documentary, horror, etc.

A platform to discover new talent and promote independent artists

Options to link crowdfunding campaigns for upcoming projects

This would give voice and visibility to the global community, encourage content creation, and show the world what Blender users are capable of — right from the official Blender site.

It could turn blender.org into not just the home of the software, but also a true showcase of the creativity it empowers.

Thank you for your incredible work and for making such a powerful tool available to all of us.

Sincerely, Human Artist
