links textures

Hello, being new to blender I am looking for a process that would allow me to reassign all the links of my textures to the same folder. I transferred files and my textures no longer appear. I have to open each texture to redo the links one by one which is extremely long. Thank you for your help

If the original textures are stored all over the place, you can pack all resources:
File > External Data > Pack Resources
Now the .blend file contains all texture information.
Save the .blend file and move it to where you want it to be.
File > External Data > Unpack Resources
It will create a "textures" folder next to the .blend file location and move all the textures into that folder change all the links in the .blend file to point there.

  • Move .blend file from original location to inside new textures folder. This should break all the old links.
  • Go to File > External Data > Find Missing Files and choose your new textures folder. This should link all textures.
  • Go to File > External Data > Make Paths Absolute . This should lock the path to these textures, no matter where you move your original .blend file.
  • Move your .blend file to back to project folder or wherever you want.
