.3ds file import in Blender 2.80 is not working
.3ds file import is not working in 2.80 . WIll you fix it ? It is very annoying as many files from 3d libraries all over the internet are in that format.

well you can still use an older Blender version 2.79 to import .3ds and then save it in .blend file, which you can now edit in Blender 2.80.
* @ronartos * other options was copy imported object in 2.79 and paste directly in 2.80 without save a file

* @glen7654321 * no, most of import/export format are Blender addon, if .3ds is not released with official archive, probably is because is not actively supported from his developer and nobody actively support it
Same problem here. Does anyone have an import plugin for Blender 2.81 yet?
