Hi there! I decided to delve deeper into the hard surface.

Neat job, but even as I thoroughly hate guns, I am aware of a few things, that should or should not be there.
For all I know a guns girth, weight etc. is all about the firepower you get out of it. This looks like a magazine fed "assault" rifle and as such it should be as lightweight as possible. So the barrel is encapsulated in a lot of extra stuff. The stock is one large clump of .... what? why? There is a grill in the side. For what? A lot of the clunkyness doesn't make sense.
The round bit on the side of the stock?? For filling up with petrol? The thin rail along the top side of the stock?
Also. What fighter would appreciate a blinding light shining into her/his eye when using the scope?
You have a hole in the construction behind the barrel. Where does the bullet get fed into the chamber? Or are you using pistol bullets in a rifle? Or is it a laser rifle. Same problem. How would it work.
I know my criticism isn't about the model itself, but rather the design, but if a design doesn't make sense to me, I don't feel anything for the rest.
If a commanding officer told me to use this gun in action, I'd say no.
Sorry if this seems harsh, but I like stuff to make sense. And you did ask for criticism. Welcomed it even :)
Thanks a lot, I agree, I will pay more attention to design :)
