Blender and Eevee saved my business-life :-)

I'm working in a coin company, realizing commemorative coins for the world market. This year we showed at World Money Fair in Berlin the newest minting technology. As always it’s superbusy to prepare for the show and luckily I could render out easily, fast and accurate all kind of marketing material showing the advantages of the new coins. I have also realized with the supplied 3D-model of the minthouse (with that data the coins will also be struck) and with a nice HDR from HDRHeaven i could render within 2.5 hours the following animation. It consists of about 3000 Full HD-pictures. With Cycles it maybe would have been more accurate (wich was not necessary) and had taken me weeks rendering-time or I had to manage a renderfarm where I don't have experience with. So in the company I was the hero :-) that I could manage this and it was very successfull at the show.

So I want to give this further to blender. Thanks to all who work an participate on Blender and push it further! It's such a powerful tool. In case you like to see the animation. youtu.be/ZSZrwG__4w8

Agreed, EEVEE is a game changer when you're a professional with deadlines. I work in architecture, and being able to render a full animation in a matter of minutes to hours, without sacrificing control or editing capabilities like you would with Lumion/TwinMotion etc, has revolutionised our workflow.

We still do the extra-sexy stuff with Cycles or Unreal, but for the day-to-day renders I can't think of anything that would do the job as well as EEVEE does. I have to say a huge, heartfelt thank you to the team for giving us such an amazing tool to work with.

Thanks for sharing this story here. Mind if I can share this story in a video? (I will not present company's name or your name, I'll briefly mention the story as an example of how Blender can deliver quick turnarounds). Is it ok with you? Let me know. Thanks.
