Capsule primitive / Curve with Rounded Caps for Geometry Nodes

Blend file contains two Geometry Nodes trees: Capsule and Capsule Adaptive

Capsule works in Blender 2.93 and above. Capsule Adaptive requires Blender 3.0 alpha.

Capsule Adaptive can be used as "Curve with Rounded Caps". Add Curve modifier after GN modifier and select same Curve Object for both. Play with Adaptive Rings, Ring Spacing and Depth from Curve parameters.
