Allowing Render Resolution per Camera

Blender is so nice for rendering animation. Its camera supports constraints and keyframing translations very well. It looks like fun to create an animation film with Blender.

However sometimes we do something else with Blender. We also make photorealistic backgrounds for architectural posters, commercial advertisements, images for printing booklets, and website images.

For these extra fields, we need the ability to set the resolution per camera. Maybe the resolution settings could simply be moved to the camera properties. Maybe the alternative resolution settings could be added to the camera properties which the artist can use only when needed. Resolution per scene(which is the current structure) feels kind of restricted in some workflows in fields other than animation.

Yes, and YES! At least make Cameras able to override the scene properties, as it is in Photographer addon

Oh I didn't noticed that. After reading your comment I tried to find something like "merge topic" but I could not. Maybe I should have checked the site more thoroughly. Thanks for the link! On the other hand, all these posts and alternative plugins makes me think many people would get a lot of help with this idea if it happens.

This has been proposed a couple of times (and I'm sure I'm missing a one or two more that didn't come up in search):
