Engineering 3D Modeling

How about mimicking how engineers do 3D Modeling? Its all about modeling in relative precision. It is very detail, they have these basic method. Sketch, parts, constraint assembly, some mechanical and mechanism then to almost detailed rendering and animation (which is sucks). The rest are more to manufacturing documentation. Some of them are Solidworks, TopSolid or Catia.

What are these exact engineering tools that these other software have? How could they work inside Blender, and how would they be implemented within Blender's UI and usage paradigms? Saying "I wish Blender had more engineering tools like these other software" doesn't help anyone actually make those tools happen.

Have a look around at some of the highly rated proposals here for examples of in-depth descriptions of proposed features.

Maybe he thinking about this type:

Blender is really poor around precision work in case exist potential to be nice work.

Yeah that's true. Those proposals are promising, I don't really use precision modeling myself much though so I haven't weighed in on them. I think this proposal could be a good addition if it was fleshed-out a little more....the proposals you've attached there are a good example of being precise with what features are being proposed and how they work within Blender.

I can that skaetchup is maybe very simple, but the basic primitive working the best, even Inventor, Fusion 360, Solidworks, PTCreo, Catia, or NX9 : ) These ahve to much windows style around dialogs, in case sketchup is more console, like Rhino (but not to much, but with potential to be). Also in my opinion blender should include this pratcie. With bad measure tools (missed points in dimensions not anchored to edges/vertex) this made always hard work with confusion around.

And.. simulations blender.community/c/rightclickselect/WPqg/ Armature inheritance as Independent solution and Instance Eg. in blender is problem in case of external/linked files. In relation listed other softwares work with some area is more easy with assemblies

Try TinyCad if you first time hear about. But I can say this same when I came fron Autodesk Inventor/Cad or Fusion, Solidworks, Catia, PtCreo, Sketchup, that prototyping is more essay in some precision of basics shape/skeleton in case with this software job is hard around improvisation and modeling. Blender looks more for modeling like ZBrush and for artists (art, animation, rendering). I remember talks about support robots, etc. (simulations.. and it's not bad, but when exited Blender Game Engine some changes here around some interactive simulations). Hvr.. upbge.org/ going well with this.

The origins is pain, collections and external files. So by this hard to work with parts, external, easy modify parts is pain (no option to "entry" to external file to modify). No to much to solve.. but not solved.

Blender should have some Goals as final version of product focused around CAD/CAM. In case you can "push" from drawings by extrude lines with modyficators, etc. This is enough coz CAE, FEA, CFD or whole CAx can be done in blender in easy way by addons, but this weakens support around cad limiting and forwarding job to CAx. But I like blender more like these listed commercial, coz have potential to do many things, especially with python.

You mind probably something like this:

  • blender.community/c/rightclickselect/glhbbc/ Bether way to make drawing from 3D to 2D Draft with description of objects/elements
  • and material density/weight parameters to print some summary for parts and whole object or optimize weight parts to all by scaling/converting size of object by weight
