Proportional Editing Heat Map

When in edit mode with Proportional editing enabled, having the ability to toggle the viewport to show a heat map of the affected vertices. 3DS MAX uses this feature to show the falloff of the affected area. I think this better showcases what is being edited than a circle showing the furthest effected from the active selection.

* @TheRedWaxPolice * Im new to this, but is that link showing that this is already in development?

* @alex.weber * Yes

* @alex.weber * It's in development yea, BUT DON'T CELEBRATE YET, that's the only cool part of it, the worst part is the review proccess for it to be accepted. Developers they don't think like artists, and lot of cool stuff are left to die there, because it might not make sense to them. There's a huge difference between making something vs using something. That's why blender is what it is, and full of non-sensical issues. So don't be surprised if it doesn't make it. ✌

* @ThinkingPolygons * this is non-sense most of the cool stuff that died there died because of the code not the idea (performance, future proof , functionality) or because the original author abandoned it ,and most of the developers are in fact blender artist or at least work with artists and make features based on a their workflow . how do you think they make their open movies than

* @ThinkingPolygons * What you write is not true. There are artists among Blender developers. Although they work hard, unfortunately, there are not enough of them to implement all community ideas. They need more funds. There are a lot of ideas for new functions, and new ones are added every day. The ones that will receive the most votes and it is possible to add them will be added. It is worth noting that the next versions are designed to improve the Blender core. Then new functionalities will be added.

That's a wonderful idea. I always end up doing it empirically to see how the fall off looks. This would save me the time cycling through a bunch first
