Reference Collage Area Type

Go to this proposal instead: Better Proposal

I could see an area type that was a multi-image view type or "Image Collage".

Here you would load images. Then you would scale, rotate and move them around a 2d area. Each image would have a z index for overlapping.

You would be able to zoom in and out on the area (like any other view)

You could also pack all your references into your blend file if you wanted and you could have them in a nice non-overlapping space.

Could be useful. Currently you can achieve this with Puref, as you can tell it to stay on top of other windows. The one thing missing though would be the image packing into the blend.
