Muscle Simulation Tools
Maybe this is a very big proposal, but this is something I would like Blender to have some day: some dedicated Muscles Simulation tools. I think it is very self-explanatory, but the idea is to have tools specialized for simulating flesh and muscles of character in a realistic way. I know this can be achieved maybe with shapekeys, bones, and even deforming custom meshes, but the idea is to be able to create the muscles automatically with a single button, faster, and of course it should be customizable. This is obviously a very ambitious proposal, but I wouldn't ask for this if I wouldn't see a lot of potential in Blender.

A proposal like this is a huge ask and would require a quite a lot of design and development work. I would strongly recommend that you put the effort in on the design side of this so developers have something actionable that they can work with.
@Jason van Gumster:
You have a couple of papers to work with like this:
movement.stanford.edu/courses/cs448-01-spring/papers/wilhelms.pdf
I don't really know if is license compatible with Blender, anyhow is a big job that could go in the next year GSOC, i don't really think that they go with this if it isn't needed in the next open movie
* @Jason van Gumster * I think including a muscle system will be a huge task for the developers that is not easy to implement. Maybe you can look at this as a reference? zivadynamics.com/ziva-vfx
Check this out, it has a clear proposal with research papers and code included, give it an upvote!
really i like the idea, even if it's heavy on my computer, i will find a way to optimise it.
I know several big studios have proprietary muscle simulation tools, but does any commercial software have this feature? This could be a big move for blender.
@dpdpforlife: Maya has muscle system, Houdini too.
there is a very convenient toolset in the blendermarket.
@Luciano Muñoz: I assume you are talking about this
* @david2 * probably... I bought that and I used also Ziva and I can tell that we can't mix pears and apples... it's a TOTALLY different thing...
