Each camera have it's own resolution

With multi camera projects, can be helpfull to have the right ratio to the right camera without changing the setting in the global scene, and to each camera.

There are addons that let you do this, like the Photographer addon, for example

* @billrey * thanks for that info. Haven't heard of any addon that works like render burst? Cause RB doesn't work for new versions of 2.80.

Resolution is a property of render/scene, not the camera. Why do you need this feature? Please describe, what benefits it will bring to you.

* @ Vyacheslav * flexibility ?

* @-L0Lock- * for what? I can`t imagine real task that requres many different resolutions.

blenderjoe

* @ Vyacheslav * Well it could be an option - I understand that proposal. Just imagine this scenario: I made a dozen of graphics that had to have many different resolutions - full graphic identification for the state institution so time mattered and workflow also. (Posters in B1, and smaller graphics for leaflets and other things with different perspective and resolution with different proportions in just one task) I made it by naming all the cameras by the demanded resolution and other parameters and had to stay awake or set the alarm during nights (during a day I made my graphics) and after each render ended I changed the resolution of next camera. Just couldn't leave rendering without my intervention. Now when there is no render burst and it works like it works I would have to do it the same way. Only in some cases I could change proportions to look almost the same, calculate the size drop percentage and settle the difference of a render. But After that I would have to crop an image in photoshop. It would be not efficient cause its probably an hour more for every render wasted just to crop it afterwards.

* @jeremiasznm * And i for example make a 19k resolution for a project, it is not easy to handle different camera with different resolution to test and do animatics in 1080p without modify the scene.

blenderjoe

* @yoann softyoda * Yeah it could be really hard :P So the request is for something optional just to help us with this tasks and not make unnecessary trouble for people who need fixed camera and resolution values. So why not try to implement such options? :)

softyoda Author

* @jeremiasznm * I don't think making resolution indepandant for each camera could be trouble for preople who need fixed camera, they still could select all camera, and modify values with alt key.

Another use of differents camera resolution could be to import camera that have different resolutions from a photoscan github.com/uhlik/bpy

* @ Vyacheslav * This feature would be very usefull for anything related to print and web publishing. There are multitude of different standards there. Take for example anything related to visual identification.

Anything with photogrammetry where you want paint over mesh using ground truth dataset of hundeds of camera with different ratio.

I have a multi-camera scene, and I'm rendering for use on a web page.

Some of the detail shots should be 1:1, others 3:4, 16:9 and so on. Basically, I would like to see the scene through the camera as it will turn out with the correct ratio/resolution. And not have to crop each render afterwards.

This is not possible without paid add-ons, however I feel it should be part of Blender core.
