Light Objects in Geometry Nodes

I thought today wouldn't it be cool to have the control to add Light Objects and modify them in Geometry Nodes. For example, you could Add them out of the "Primitive Lights" menu and instance them on an Object and control the strength, the color, and the position with attributes and maybe also the shape? Then you could control the strength with a texture or an image. So you could project "fake" coustics on the ground of the ocean. Or you could project an image onto something. Ore you could make extra light rays.

Example for lightrays: Lights geo nodes.PNG

def cool idea, upvoted! P.S. i think/hope/assume it will be possible in the future collection/scene nodes to add objects of different kind?

I have to say that I never really understud what collection nodes would exactly do or what they are xD

lol, me too... but i assume unlike geometry nodes, which work inside individual objects and working like edit mode, collection nodes, i think, will orchestrate on a scene level, dealing with objects: creating, deleting, changing exposed parameters.... maybe it, like object mode in blender?

Well, as far as I know you can only instance them. And it works as expected.

But you could control the position and strengt with attributes

Light is not a geometry and they have ability to use shader nodes. So i don`t think, GN is a proper place to manipulate with lights. Just tune shader and instance.
