Array Atlas Support
Blender does not support Array Atlases in the material editor. This is needed for an addon I'm developing that import/exports Far Cry XBG models and edits their materials. Because of the quirks of the format the opengl code had to be edited by a fellow modder to support this. It was not a substantial edit from what I can tell.
This idea was marked as a duplicate of Texture Array Slice Indexing / DDS support.

For an addon you're developing... Can you give us a reason why everyone else would also want this feature inside of blender?
While his argument is weak. Texture arrays could be genuinely useful for some users, while relativity easy to implement.
Texture array from usage standpoint is just normal texture sampler that have additional input of index that allows You to dynamically chose which texture to use from all textures in arrray for the performance cost of only one texture sample.
So instead of having dozens od texture nodes and mix nodes in material editor that You actually want use only one, You could just use one.
Example of how it looks in different software:
Texture arrays are supported in all game engines. So eg. Unreal, Unity, Godot have it.
And funny enough, even Blender internally already uses texture arrays, it just dont exposes t to users.
Agree on the feature but blender.community/c/rightclickselect/ZZlE/ already exists so this can probably be marked as a duplicate
