Yes, maybe better without the lines, just the spheres. I made a similar proposal a while ago. And you can put the low poly model of your preference. blender.community/c/rightclickselect/nBbbbc/
First when propose gizmo try scale it down to real size in window. All this small details become absolutely unnoticeable ...
My first impression is that this is really funny...Actually thought it was a joke. Then it really made sense.
It's a non-symmetrical figure whose orientation is instantly recognizable.
