Linked collection time offset
Why are we able to move linked/instanced collection in 3D space, but aren't able to move it in 4-th dimension, time? I think it's really must have feature, especially for big projects.

One year later it is still actual. For example: Now I'm making low-poly explosion which includes several meshes (blast, fire balls, smoke, sparks). I use it in battle scene, where are several dozens of explossions. With Time Ofset for collections instances it would be a fun. But now it is pain in my ass.
By the way, this issue is even older blender.community/c/rightclickselect/ZTbbbc/
move in time? you mean... ANIMATION? Man, you can do this, it's a blender basis, in the software from the 90's
* @ Lsscpp * I have no idea what you're trying to say but I understand the OP's proposal just fine.
Yeah, I constantly find myself needing this. Everything would be much easier if I didn’t have to deal with the NLA editor for lots of objects, and instead, I could just apply a simple offset to a collection's animation. Also, it's almost impossible to use linked collections from different Blender files that share the same linked rigs. When you use library overrides (to be able to access the NLA editor), everything tends to get mixed together
YES YES and YES! so damn need this one! and for now have to frustrate a lot and import all stuff to the scene as a local objects and offset animations, and then if i need to change something in that object or animation i have to do this many time again. Super annoying!
Yes, this is a very frustrating missing feature. When instancing collections, there's no way to offset their animations in time. This is especially irritating, when I'm working on multiple Blend files - and for example I'm linking it a sloth sim to a "master" .blend project and I can't sync the animations in the "master" project file, I have to offset my animation in the source file which is risking breakage (with complex simulations,. anything can happen). Offsetting collection instance animation would not only fix this problem, but also give users some interesting motion design tools.
that's a really important point ! blender must be able to do this and also to overide animations in graph editor
Doesn't moving a keyframe move it in time?
* @BlenderSplendor * A collection contains objects and those objects are animated. A collection duplicate or a linked collection contains objects and those objects keep their animation from their original collection. You can move the location of the collection instance but you can't change when its internal animation starts. You can scale the collection instance but you can't speed up or slow down its internal animation.
* @thinsoldier * Ok, now it got it!
