Compute time for selected frames in belt

Compute time for selected frames in belt, eg.

  • sum for keyframes/time

It's related with: blender.community/c/rightclickselect/xVXJ/ Bether workflow for time line and key frames

This can help to adjust copied keyframes to control right postions or after scaling, etc. to place in right range of time

Sorry mate, unfortunately i can't seem to grasp what the request here is.

  • What is meant by the term "compute time for selected frames in belt"?
  • What is meant by the term "sum for keyframes/time "?
  • How does "This can help to adjust copied keyframes to control right postions or after scaling, etc. to place in right range of time " play into the request? First we are talking about compute time of keyframes (whatever that even means), then about duplicating and scaling keyframes and then adjusting some keyframes position?

Could you please provide some screenshots, mockups and a more detailed explanation with example for your idea proposal?

Simple.. diamonds from left to right as first and last defining range, with is time and frames range. This is sum for selected frames and time from this. Helping when scaling part of time line.

Okay, got the part with the duration. You want there to be status display on how many frames are inbetween selected keyframes A and B.

Still not getting the scaling part. The scale operator scales the selected keyframes relative to the current frame, so setting the time marker roughly to the center of keyframe A and B should do the trick, no? If you want exact numbers, simply put (frame value keyframe A + frame value keyframe B) / 2 as formula inside the current frame input field. To simplify things i'd suggest this feature proposal: snap current frame to start/end/center of selection (currently you can only snap the keyframes, not the frame itself). Could be done via python, would be nice as core functionality.
