Mirrors are possible already, but apart from that, a way to display the camera view would definitely be useful!

It'd work best as a material node i think. And also have an alpha channel, if it's looking into the void it would be all transparent

(as for realtime mirrors, glossy shader does the trick better than an iterative render)

But not in Eevee... ibb.co/zX28JY6

Eevee has flat mirrors just fine, you're simply not using the planar reflection probe.

Oh, I looked at the guide about reflective panels, thanks)) I should have been in Blender for more than two minutes.

But what about security cameras? So I want to make a scene where a character performs at a concert, and next to it are large screens showing images from cameras. The ideal option is to make the texture of the view from the cameras, I think so.

Yes in that case it could be a solution. I was only commenting about the realtime mirrors.

Now, you also need to think about how to implement that into Blender. Would that be just a new texture node for materials? A new object? Something else? Would you need to link that to a camera? How would you control the render settings of that "camera view". That includes resolution, sampling, light paths, and so on.
You also might want to render that POV once for all, to avoid re-rendering the same thing all the time, or allow trickeries.

Not only your feature would be useful for you and your cctv use case, but for a lot of people I believe.

I already made this proposal a while ago, and sent a mail to clément foucault, he told me that it wouldn't be that easy to implement and didn't see any use case. Link to my proposal : blender.community/c/rightclickselect/rgdbbc/

I often work with projection mapping and having to render one camera rig angle, make image sequence, import them manually, and adjust the camera rig every time is way harder, I had to import my blender scene to unreal only to get a real time feedback of the projection, using ue4 render target textures.

This feature would allow to make complexe 2D or 3D motion animation like what premiere-pro allow you to do, animating object and the camera of a subsequence, then combining and animating again the camera of the sequence that have all nested subsequence.

Having this in blender, with each scene having a camera movement, and another scene taking diffuse/alpha as projection onto a plane, or a sphere is you want, or anything, would lead to really mind-blowing use cases !

We need render to texture, even if it only work on eevee, and need an extra render time for cycles to first render camera that are use in nested sequence, then render the main sequence.

I'm looking forward for this, PlayStation (PSX) could do this, Blender fails in simple things like this or transparent textures in blend mode.
