Tbh i don't know if cluttering the menus further is the best solution for a very simple task: select all (either via menu: Marker > Select > All, or via timeline: press a in the marker section), then press del/x to delete selected markers.
Would creating an extra menu entry really speed those two steps significantly up?

I often creating temporary markers, but due many issues around like no option to move with key frames, etc. it's better to delete all. Also feature due no option to select by select box.
