Redesign File Browser similar GIMP for faster operation with mouse
A faster way to get to the target directory.
The picture shows the principle on the basis of the Nomad file browser, but for the implementation I suggest the GIMP optics, see right in the picture. It looks better and fits more to the Blender interface.

why not similar to the default windows file explorer ?

A large mouse click area is also important.

Unfortunately, you can't add your own images to a proposal. In addition, there is no possibility to summarize suggestions.
