Vertical tabs need icons
The vertical tabs by the N panel need icons. Every addon wants (and needs) it's own space there, and after a few of them have been added, you can no longer read the label contents, especially in the 3D view. Adding small icons might help the user locating the correct panel. The solution is not too dissimilar to that already present in the Properties window (although there is not even text there, and I think text should be kept in the vertical panel tabs.

I think add-on creators should consider other places in Blender's UI to put their add-ons. There are a lot of add-ons that have no business in the side panel of 3d Viewport and yet add-on developers are still putting them there. Is it really a good idea to encourage that?
Amen!

I agree that the n-panel should indeed be optimized, one thing you can do for now (if you don't already) is to filter only the most vital add-ons you use day-by-day and the other ones you only enable on demand. You can do that in 'Workspace' tab in 'Properties' panel, than 'Filter add-ons'.
I think it need a search bar for n plane. But nobody allow to dev it(why?)
