Self Reference in Geometry Nodes
the ability to reference the object the geometry nodes modifier is on directly through a "self" node or an attribute
this would help with using object scale/position to drive nodes immensely

Multiple objects using the same geonodes. Being able to use the object properties, and also (animated) custom properties could be extremely useful ... At least, it would be, for me today, right now. I am going to use a miserable workaround instead ... :o(
Thanks you Jakey
It could also be implemented as a checkbox within object info (but I like your idea of a self node much better)
How about to make another geometry nodes modifier with another object and reference the previous one inside? Here is an example of such workflow: youtu.be/XSkaM-8Vgz8
the idea of a self reference is to automate selecting the object in the object info's slot. just say "self" and it will reference the object it's placed on no matter what. I'm not sure how referring to another object would help that, it'd still need to be set up that way when the geo nodes modifier is placed on an object
