Current Object Info Node. Refers to self.
Allow geometry nodes to be aware
Current Behavior: Have to manually select an object in the object info node to get it's position.
Desired Feature: Either have a dedicated "Current Object" node or have the select an object default to "self"
Why: Duplicated objects containing Geometry Nodes can be randomized by position, or Unique Seeds, or other without having manual setup.
This idea was marked as a duplicate of Self Reference in Geometry Nodes.

This has been implemented as the "Self Object" node, which you can plug into the "Object Info" node.
I'm pretty sure this already exists. If you leave the object field blank, it will use the current object.
It doesn't. If you want to use it as netbuz10101 describes, it produces no usable value to be used as random seed, for example. Ideally, it should work as you described (which is what I assumed before attempting to use it in a similar way to op).
It's true in the Shader Nodes, but not in Geometry Nodes -- behavior is a bit inconsistent with a number of node at the moment between the two.
