Dopesheet Consolidation Update
This is an attempt to consolidate all of the dopesheets subtime lines. The UI attempt is to remove as many windows from Blender as possible. to reduce the maintenance of the code. Finally to improve working between different keyframes and retime them in different windows.
I believe the VSE could also be consolidated into this window as well along with the Graph Editor.
This should make for a much more intuitive process of working with keyframes. Instead of window hopping.

I really like this proposal! I once had a similar idea to merge some of the animation editors, but the other way around: to expose keyframes in the VSE ( blender.community/c/rightclickselect/B4fbbc/ ). Given that audio tracks are now included, do you think it'd make sense to also include sequences from the VSE in this "unified" dopesheet? This would transform Blender into a "superior After Effects" in a sense.
Also, afaik, the current dopesheet doesn't display the beginning and end of a track. With audio tracks included I think it should show in some way the beginning and end of such tracks (like VSE ones too, if they are included).
I agree with you. twitter.com/MrAdamEarle/status/1490596565505155072
