Synchronized Viewport rotation
It's pretty cool that Blender can already show or hide different collections in each viewport individually. It would be super beneficial on top if the viewports would be able to additionally also sync up the perspective. Like so:
The setup above seems to work (and if you stay in camera mode it even mostly does) - but it is kind of hacked. It's set up looking through a camera with "Lock Camera to View" active in each viewport.
The problem with the setup is that:
- Every viewport has to be set up with several steps individually first
- The camera render region needs to be zoomed exactly the same for the views to synch up perfectly.
- going into an orthographic view breaks the setup temporarily and will ony resume it when the camera is activated again:
A native implementation like this could be ideal to use as for chek-while-modeling game meshes or retopology. Or to have a reference mesh open on the side to model off of.

Some how like this request ... but slightly different. It Could be a Unique patch for Blender to cover both.
* @aslan.tamjidi * Yes that would be awesome! I think a simple "Link Viewport" or "Sync Viewport" toggle on/off button for each viewport would be a great addition. Then, the viewports that are linked share rotation and zoom, and if in orthographic view it shares zoom and pan like the other request.
This would be a great help for modeling and architecture projects.
There is an addon for that you can download it here

Ooh. That one is very nice. Would still love to see it integrated into Blender directly but this one is really helpful!
Is any update this idea?
No. Unfortunately nothing. would be cool if we at least were able to disable the camera borders in the viewport without also diabling everything else. But for some reson the camera border, when viewing from the camera view, can not be toggled on and off separately. They are bundled up with everything or not at all.
Devs don't seem to see a reason to change this, either.

Try to suggest it here: developer.blender.org/D7272
* @TheRedWaxPolice * I am never sure if it's okay to suggest things at Devtalk when yu're not really a developer or directly involved in the task. I feel it's counterproductive to spam a forum that's designed for actual developers actually tackling tasks.
Interesting idea. Could be done with an add-on (I guess).
If they would simply expose the parameters of the viewport-camera I'd be happy to just setup drivers between the fields of 2 viewports and save that as a workspace.
That is SO Lightwave3D.
