Edge/Face/Normal Constraint for all tools.

Coming for another package, it's incredibly difficult to move vertices around without edge constraint. Vert Slide works in some cases but cannot be given a governing axis like in other softwares.

For example, in this gif: imgur.com/a/mLhenfw

  • You can see that I'm able to move the selected vertex along the edge with the Z-Axis being the governing direction, allowing me to quickly and easily match the height of the two vertices without disrupting the edge.

Here's some other examples from some documentation - hopefully these illustrate how useful a feature this is:

Things in Blender can be done in different way, Max is not absolute....

* @IIIFGIII * I've seen this suggested to me but this is such a slower way of working. It's not always just a case of trying to knife a new edge into existence.

If I'm given a mesh I need to work on and a lot of loops aren't straight I'm not going to spend all day remodelling the whole thing just to straighten them out.

I want to switch to Blender so bad but without this seemingly basic functionality for precision modelling I just can't.

* @jkelly20695 * So ok, but it does not mean that if you suggest same things again - it comes faster...

* @jkelly20695 * Have you tried snap utilities line addon? I am not to aware of the features but I believe it probably has edge snap funtionality.

* @johnpdelacruz26 * Okay this just seems like a better version of the knife tool, I wonder why the functionality hasn't been merged?

* @jkelly20695 * I am not to familiar with the addon but I might try looking in to it. For the merging question, I don't have any idea, maybe they have it in the books already but not yet implemented.

And it all already suggested like here or here , or others (use search).
