This is similar to blender.community/c/rightclickselect/71gbbc/
In order to make this work it should be possible to specify the axis/direction of the projection.
This could be used to mimic projecting curves to surfaces that you may be familiar with from CAD software.
Curious, why against it? Can you guys explain?
