Sculpt brush to restore vertices to basis shape key

When I'm sculpting I tend to affect parts of my mesh I didn't intend to.

I'm aware of the "blend from shape" option but with the very rough selection modes this isn't much help.

A brush where you could select a target shape and then paint the vertices back to the target's shape position would be amazing.

This would allow me to blend my new shape smoothly with the basis shape by painting (sculpting) the vertices

Interesting! So basically you create a basis shape key before sculpting, and then when you start sculpting, you can use this brush to return parts of the mesh to the shape of that shape key?

* @christsdude * exactly. Even sounds pretty easy to realize

* @sirjacobs.arthur * You could actually have an option to use the shape of another object as the influence shape. That would be pretty cool.

Duplicate (kind of). Also I think the other post proposes a more complete and flexible feature.

You could do this with vertex groups (you can set for each shape key where it should be effected) but having a propper brush would be nicer

* @Anže * btw I explain that workflow in the older proposal.

Yes! This could be used for so many other things too. Vote +
